The Day Before Weigh In...
Today is the "Day Before" weigh in and I'm a bit nervous!
I've been sick this week with a hateful cold so I haven't exercised as much as I wanted.
I haven't had much appetite but I've craved comfort foods.
Stay tuned in tomorrow to see what the scale says!

Weekly Weigh In ~ 9/21/18
Ugh! This week did NOT go as I had planned! At least weight-wise. How could I have gained 5.0 lbs in a little over a week????? So disappointing :(
Anyway. Onward and downward!
I've decided to keep track of how much I need to lose to stay on my track to hit my 2 year Goal. I think this will help keep me focused on the smaller picture and not think, "I've got 2 whole years to lose weight!" This needs to be a weekly (even daily) focus.
I did take the time to fit in exercise this week and, man, am I feeling it in my legs! Those hills are killing me! No really, it feels good though.
Here are some stats:
Starting Weight on 9/10/18 ~ 276.6 lbs
9/17/18 ~ No Weigh-In
9/21/18 ~ 281.6 Total: +5.0 Needed: -1.0
Total Needed: -6.0
Exercise Last Week
Monday ~ 15 minutes outside
Tuesday ~ 45 minutes outside
Wednesday ~ 30 minutes outside
Thursday ~ 30 minutes outside
Diet
I've started using the Slim Fast diet plan. Thanks to those of you who gave your input. I'm debating whether to do a shake for breakfast and lunch or just breakfast and eat a healthy lunch so I don't get the afternoon munchies. I'll keep you updated!

A Gorgeous Day for a Walk
Today was a gorgeous day for a nice walk outside!
I recruited Kaylee to go along with me. We strapped Damon (I babysit MWF) into his stroller and set out.
It turns out that it was a lot hotter than I anticipated! :)
Either that or the obvious: I'm really out of shape!
We walked on the country road that we live along. We live on a hill, so that means the road is also very up and down. Kaylee and I took turns pushing the stroller.
I was a sweaty mess by the time we were done. Especially after walking up our driveway.
A lovely day, indeed :)

Slim Fast ~ Yay or Nay???
I'm thinking about using the Slim Fast Diet plan.
I've used it before long ago and I think I remember having some success with it. Not to mention, there is no prep time for a quick shake. And... I love the Chocolate shakes!
So my question is:
Have you ever tried the Slim Fast Diet plan? Did you have success?
What say you? Yay or Nay?

Non-Weigh In ~ 9/17/18
I've re-thought weighing in on Mondays. I believe I'm going to go back to weighing in on Fridays. So, no Weigh-in today and you can see why by some of the stats below!
I definitely should have waited until after my actual Anniversary (today!) to start a Fitness Journey.
However, there will always be occasions to celebrate and I need to figure out a way to work that into my Journey.
Any thoughts?

Fighting the Urge to Snack ~ 9/11/18
Here I am at Day 2 of my Journey and I am already fighting the urge to snack.
To divert my attention, I thought I'd pop on here and write about it.
Usually, we eat supper around 4pm. That is when everyone gets home on a normal day. Today, however, I have Harvester's Class. Harvester's Class is a potluck get-together for our Church ladies. It doesn't start until 6:30pm.
Therefore, my supper-time is thrown off by 2.5 hours! I really want to stick to my NO SNACKING rule and only eat at mealtime.
All I can think about are the snacks I bought for the Hubby's and Laken's lunches when I went for groceries today!
I really want to eat something junky right now and an apple just won't cut it for me.
So, I'm going to:
Pray for me!

Weekly Weigh-In ~ 9/10/18
I will be "Weighing In" weekly on Monday morning.
I picked Monday to weigh in hoping that it will keep me motivated and on track over the weekend.
Without further ado:
Starting Weight on 9/10/18 ~ 276.6 lbs
Exercise Last Week ~ Just getting started :)
Diet ~ Just getting started :)
I know that isn't much information for this week but you can see that I need to lose 100 lbs. or more to be at a comfortable weight.
So, that is it for this Week's Weigh In! Weigh In #1 is in the books! :)

My Goals and My WHY
I want to talk a little bit about my goals. They are pretty hefty...
Weight Loss:
I really, really, really want to lose 100 pounds!
If you knew how many times I've "started a diet" and said, "I want to lose 100 pounds," you'd think I was crazy to try once again. Maybe I am crazy, but I really want to succeed this time. Am I afraid of failing...Again???? You betcha! Am I willing to give it another go? YES!
How:
Exercise: I'm planning on walking at least 5 days a week whether it be outside or in my Family Room to a Leslie Sansone Walking DVD. I'm going to start at 1 mile a day for a few days and then work my way up.
Diet: This is going to be so difficult for me. Only eat at mealtime unless a special treat is planned. So, no snacking! Ughh! Portion control is also very key to my transformation. I'm a potato/noodle lover so I'm going to have to really watch the carbs.
Blogging: By blogging about my journey I hope to keep myself motivated and encouraged.
Time Frame:
To keep myself on track, I need to have a time frame.
On September 17, 2018 I will have been married for 18 years. That means only 2 years until our 20th Anniversary! Two years can seem like a long time, but for the mammoth goal of losing 100 pounds successfully it might be just what I need.
My WHY:
Why do I want to lose 100 pounds? Let me count the why's:
~Obviously, I want to look better
~Obviously, I want to feel better
~Obviously, I want to be healthier
Obviously, I NEED to do this!
Where YOU Come In:
I know you don't "know" me but I need you! I need support. A lot of it.
Anybody want to join me? I could really use some encouragement along the way.
Let me know what you think about my goals. Do you think it is doable?

Welcome to Colletta Is Losing It!
I decided to create this blog to focus on my weight loss goals.
My main blog, Colletta's Kitchen Sink, focuses on my hobbies, family, etc. I wanted a place where I could journal my struggles with my weight without "weighing" down Colletta's Kitchen Sink.
I'll be creating a "Goals" post in a bit, but for now here is a little about me:
~My name is Colletta (duh!).
~I am 40-years-old.
~I have been married to the hubby for 18 years.
~I have two daughters ages 17 and 11
~I am a SAHM and also babysit
~I'm a dedicated Christian.
~We live in a multi-generational home.
~I love to read, crochet, watch Steeler Football and spend time with the family.
~I want to lose 100 pounds.
If you are visiting from Colletta's Kitchen Sink, I hope you'll follow along here also.
If you are a new visitor, I hope you'll follow along on my journey :)
