All I can say is that this week has been STRESSFUL!  With that came a small gain.

Weekly Weigh In ~ #2 ~ Journey to Lose 150 lbs ~ 9/8/2021


I didn't exercise, at all this week.  I did manage to Intermittent Fast a few days but not as much as I wanted to.

Imagine my surprise when I reached my first mini-goal of getting below 290.0 lbs!

Now to keep some momentum and reach my next goal of 285.0 lbs.

Journal Entry ~ Intermittent Fasting ~ 9/2/2021

Today was my first day of Intermittent Fasting this go around.

I did really well with not eating breakfast until 10am.  I had a small lunch around 1pm and then "supper" at 4pm.  So right on track with my 10am-4pm eating window.

Until...7pm hit.

I was hungry.  There was no way I was going to make it until tomorrow at 10am to eat.  So I caved and ate some cheese and a few crackers.  Must.  Not.  Snack!

I didn't end up getting on the treadmill.  It was a beautiful day outside after the tremendous storm with had with Ida and I really wanted to go for a walk outdoors.  I didn't want to go by myself.  The hubby was sleeping (he is working 3rd shift this week) and Laken is nursing double ear infections and hasn't been very perky.  So I ended up doing almost no exercise at all.  That is something I want to work towards as I felt very sedentary today.

In other news:  I am caught up on my daily Bible reading.  I worked on Kaylee and Shawn's Wedding Afghan which was supposed to be done weeks ago.  I paid bills and went to the bank.  I also made supper and finished up some miscellaneous housekeeping.

I'm excited to finally be posting a "My Weekly Bookishness" post over on Colletta's Kitchen Sink this week.  It has been so long since I've had anything new to report or even the time to report anything bookish.  I look forward to participating in the bookish link-ups this week :)

Journal Entry ~ Last 90 Days ~ 9/1/2021

Here we are again on September 1st.  Another year gone by and not only haven't I lost weight, I've gained!

I've been eating everything I want.  I haven't been exercising.  My stress levels have been through the roof.  I haven't been weighing in daily.  I just plain haven't been taking care of myself.

This has to stop!  I've got to get control of my life somehow.  Right now I feel like I've been on a train with no brakes, each day passing by in a whirl of activity but with me somehow feeling like I've accomplished nothing.

I'm only 5.6 lbs away from my all-time highest weight.  5.6 lbs.  And I feel like crap.  (pardon my language :)

I feel like this was a rant but I needed to get it off my chest.  And butt.  And thighs.  You know the drill :)

Ok.

Tomorrow I will clear the wedding decorations off my treadmill and get some movement in.  I will also start Intermittent Fasting with an eating window between 10am and 4pm.

This is the "plan".

Anyone want to come along on the journey?  I promise to be more upbeat in the future :)

P.S.  I just realized that the Last 90 Days doesn't start until October 1st!  LOLLLLLLLLLL  Oh well, I'm making it the Last 120 Days :)  I'm just getting a head start...

Weekly Weigh In ~ #1 ~ Journey to Lose 150 lbs ~ 9/1/2021


I haven't visited this blog in over 2 years.  For a while I was doing a Weekly Weigh In over on my main blog:  Colletta's Kitchen Sink.  However, as my weight loss journey tends to go, it fizzled out as I got off course.

And for some reason it just feels better keeping my regular blogging schedule and my health/weight loss journey separate.  At least for now.

So, today is the today.  Today was SUPPOSED to be the day.  September 1st.  Last 90 days of the year and all that.  But I stunk it up!

It started off OK with getting myself weighed in.  But then I forgot that I wanted to Intermittent Fast and ate a bowl of cereal for breakfast.  From there it went downhill.

This blog is going to be real.  It is going to be raw.  It is going to be ugly at times.  But I hope to be honest.

Journal Entry ~ 2/3/19

Our plans fell through for this afternoon, so we decided to hit the gym after taking yesterday off for Laken's birthday.


I wanted to get a little more time and mileage in so I started with 1 mile on the treadmill then upped my biking to 2 miles.  After that, it was back to the treadmill for another mile.


In all it took about 1 hour and 10 minutes, give-or-take.


It felt good to get that amount of miles as I haven't gotten that many for so long!


Tuesday I'd like to get 3 miles on the bike for a total of 5 miles.  I'll report back as to if it happens :)

Weekly Weigh-In ~ 2/2/19




Just a little recap:  Kaylee and I joined Planet Fitness on Wednesday!  It is about 35 minutes from our house so we're planning on making the trip at least 3 times per week.  It will usually be on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.


We started out modestly with 2.5 miles on Wednesday and 2.5 miles on Friday.  (Our schedule was mixed up this past week.)  Ultimately, I' d like to get up to 5 miles per workout.  (2 on the treadmill and 3 on the recumbent bike.)


***Side note:  We made a quick stop at Wal-Mart this morning for Kaylee to get some "gym pants".  Why are those things so expensive?  We ended up lucking out and finding some on clearance for $5!  That's right, $5!  As for me, my "gym pants' are getting worn but I refuse to buy new until I'm in a smaller size.  Please, Lord, let me get into a smaller size soon!***

Today is Laken's 12th birthday so we ate at Cracker Barrel and made her a birthday cake.  Yes, I could have done without the side of mac-n-cheese but what's done is done...


Sunday's are a pretty low-key eating day for me.  I just hope that when getting back onto my regular schedule Monday I can stay on track and have some discipline.  I have got to stay out of THE JUNK FOOD and away from snacking!!!


I've been really good with not drinking any soda (or as we call it, pop).  I've even gotten to the point that I crave water like I used to crave Diet Dr. Pepper!
